Requirements for Cam4you utilities

Core Software:

To use Cam4you utilities with a camera that uses RS232 interface, you have to install the drivers first, then restart the computer. After that start Cam4you utilities.

To use Cam4you utilities with a camera that uses USB interface you also have to install Canon USB drivers for your camera.

PC

The movie recompress function requires that DirectX 8.1 is installed. Cam4you will detect your DirectX version and prompt the user if an upgrade of DirectX is needed.

The application is small and shall not consume much resources. Canon makes the following recommendation for the developing platform, and if you use Cam4you utilities the requirements are probably lower than those stated below.

Hardware Requirements

Minimum configuration:

  • 486 Processor
  • 16 MB RAM
  • VGA Video Adapter
  • 17 MB Hard Disk Space

Recommended configuration:

  • Pentium Processor
  • 32 MB RAM
  • 24-Bit Color Video Adapter

System Software

All Windows version (Win95 and WinNT may require special handling).
